“2021 will be the Mido’s re-start year”

Mido, the eyewear fair usually held in the Rho Fiera Milano scenario, has already been postponed once this year. Its president, Giovanni Vitaloni, has informed the press that he will be postponed once again, setting the final date for February 2021.

It is a painful choice, especially because the eyewear sector is (or was, pre-crisis) going towards exponential growth. For Vitaloni, however, this is only a pause with which we have to deal, but that will not compromise the future of the sector, both at Italian and international level. 2021 will be a moment of revival and eyewear will give new “life to a healthy economic system, certainly slowed down by the terrible events we are experiencing, but which has never lost its driving force”.

In the meantime, Mido relies on its digital platform and all the professional figures that make it efficient. It is not, perhaps, the best way to establish solid relationships between exhibitors and visitors, or at least, it is not the channel we are used to. But it is the best option we have, because our world continues to move forward while preserving our health and that of the whole community.
