Crowd 2.0 – Bola’s new collection
Ola Bajer, the designer at the head of Bola, presents her new collection Crowd 2.0, the continuation of a journey that began with the previous collection titled Crowd. The idea behind the realization comes from a larger project, conceived as chapters narrating the artistic and emotional inclinations of the designer.
The DNA of the brand, which uniqueness resides mainly in knitted fabrics, finds in this collection a wider scope, precisely through the enhancement of such a current theme. Crowd 2.0 is indeed a consideration of the behavior of the individual immersed in the contemporary world, between the introspection and the communication to and with each other. Certainly a particularly delicate issue nowadays, given the impediments caused by the pandemic.
The collection is designed for a young, modern and self-aware mind and body. Through the various shades of grey that create an abstract effect on knitwear and the combination of elements with more aggressive and rebellious traits, such as oxidized steel in multicolor, chain jewelry, flasks and snap hooks in rainbow color, the collection opens the way to new and interesting combinations, like a prism through which the reflected light branches in multiple directions.
The edgy and modern style is accompanied by a conscious choice of materials; cotton, wool, silk chiffon are used in the production of overalls, uniforms, jackets and oversized shirts. Particularly relevant are the vegan leather shoes made by Polish brand Bohema, accompanied by Dr. Martens, a brand particularly dear to Bajer.
Bola was founded in 2009 in Warsaw from the creative mind of designer Ola Bajer, graduated in fashion design in 1985 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Bajer studied also at the Fashion Design School in Krakow and at the International School of Fashion and Costume in Warsaw. Her collections have been presented in Poland and abroad, participating in Warsaw Fashion Street and six editions of Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland, Fashion Clash Maastricht, Exit Festival and Cracow Fashion Week.
