Dolce & Gabbana have announced yesterday the day and the location of their next fashion show, which will actually be the very first one in the post Covid-19 world. The collection will be presented on July 15th in the Humanitas’ park, one of the most important hospital in the North of Italy, which also has a special relationship with the designers, because of all the support (economic and not) they gave it in the last period. The location could not be more appropriate and confirms, once again, that fashion is culture and a mirror of society and, as such, occupies an important role in the life of our community.
It will be a very significant event, in a significant place and it will mark the official come back of Dolce&Gabbana in the Camera Nazionale della moda’s calendar. The creative due left the panel in 1998 but, as they declared to the press, they were thinking of coming back since some times now. The contemporary situation and the latest events gave them a new reason, which has been decisive for the decision. “Together is better for Italy and the system” is how they summarized it, and their action has been filled with a new wave of patriotism. Their runway will be the celebration of re-birth and renewed sense fo unity.
Dolce&Gabbana has always been symbol of Made in Italy all over the world. Their collections have always been infused of national pride: for the land, for the people, for the resources and the power they create when combined. A pride we hope to find in the upcoming Milan Fashion Week, which will be digital, for the first time, but which will not give up on the special atmosphere Milan represents. The fashion show will take place live, with models and selected public. Of course, numbers are going to be lower than usual, and the event will follow strictly the cogent regulation, in order to guarantee security for everybody.
Carlo Capasa, Camera della Moda’s president, declared to be very enthusiast about Dolce & Gabbana come back, and has huge expectation on the July Fashion Week. It is going to be very intense (form the 14th to the 17th) and the national organism is working to reach the best entertainment level possible.
