Fashion top executives are debating on what to do about events scheduled for June

As previously announced in recent days, the leaders of the fashion organizations, including Cfda, Camera Della Moda, British Fashion Council and Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, met in video conference to discuss about the future of the summer fashion shows, a very important appointment for the whole industry, which goes beyond the proliferation of new trends and inspirations. Indeed, the problem that is emerging concerns the difficult recovery expected from the sector and some of its main agents, including buyers and in general the economic system that now is at risk and that will affect brands and associations.

As stated by president of CNMI (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) Carlo Capasa to Fashion Network: “We have to understand how the situation will evolve, perhaps we have to think of different formats. We are thinking about it. For now, it is too early to pronounce. ”

A couple of days ago, CNMI declared via social media its intention to postpone all summer events and to merge them with the next fashion shows scheduled for September 2020.

Another meeting between the organizations is set for April 7, an appointment on which perhaps there will be more clarifications.

Meanwhile, the CNMI has sent a document to the Prime Minister and the relevant ministries with a list of proposals to revive the country’s economy, in which the fashion system plays a fundamental role.
