Unlike what was previously announced, Fendi will no longer present its Spring / Summer 2021 men’s and women’s collection in Rome. Milan is back to being the chosen destination, joining the other participating brands under the direction of CNMI.
About a month ago the creative director of the Roman fashion house Silvia Venturini Fendi had announced that the fashion show would be held in Rome on September 23rd, in conjunction with the Milan Fashion Week, scheduled for September 28th.
The choice to present the collection in front of the Palazzo della Civiltà, the maison’s headquarters, corresponded to the intention of further symbolically linking Fendi to the Eternal City.
With this change of mind, Fendi returns to Milan with a different but still noble goal, as stated in the press release: “In such a delicate moment for the sector, the return of the fashion shows represents a fundamental opportunity to enhance excellence of Italian fashion and relaunching the supply chain. […] A commitment, that of enhancing Italian excellence and giving a strong sign of recovery, which Fendi started with Anima Mundi in Rome, that represents an exciting tribute to its Roman origins “.
