Launched by Idee Brand Platform (IBP), the Sustainable Brand Platform uses blockchain technology to improve supply chain performance. This new project will support brands in monitoring performance and improving it in favour of green solutions, also increasing their visibility among global retailers.
Blockchain technology uses innovative systems that assess the brand in terms of sustainability and social responsibility. Therefore, the analysis starts from the first phase of the production chain, being the collection of raw materials, passing through production processes, up to the last steps, which include packaging and shipping activities. The technology also measures companies’ commitment to charities.
As Ibp explains in a note, the platform was born “in response to obsolete mechanisms and practices still in use in the fashion industry and reflects the desire of a new generation of entrepreneurs to create a more balanced relationship between the needs of the market and the respect for the environment and workers”.
The platform encourages companies to adopt more sustainable solutions, also in view of the 2030 Agenda, for which, precisely through this tool, they can define their green objectives.
Tora Tora, the physical and digital showroom, is available to brands for the promotion of their products, and especially helps emerging brands to achieve more visibility.
