“LFW Fall 2020: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi”

A maxi collection, the one for Autumn 2020 by Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, in every sense of the word. Wide shapes, applications, important ruffles and eye catching jewels, such as the earrings and cuffs of diamonds. Male and female uniforms are amplified on the catwalk, literally giving us the opportunity to choose who we want to be for every occasion.
The suit made of jacket and trousers play with the volumes and the fabrics, which mix different pattern and different sizes. The ties are extra too, as are the collars of the otherwise simple blue shirts.

Evening dresses are equally exuberant. We really like the ones in solid colour fabric, which however are made special by elaborate and floating hems – almost a sort of inflorescence on the body, quintessence of femininity. But equally interesting are the half-collection dresses, which match together very different fabrics and are unstructured in the lines. They abound in colours, prints and textures. Among these there is also a pixelated Madonna and Child, a very modern touch in a collection that seems to want to dialogue with the stylistic features of the last century, making profane what has always been considered sacred.
