“LFW Fall 2020: Simone Rocha”
There are few designers as faithful to their vocabulary as Simone Rocha. And if you, like us, love her aesthetic, you will never be tired of seeing what the Irish designer creates at every new season. For autumn 2020, she continues with the voluminous and layered dresses that we saw on the catwalk in September, even if everything seems slightly more composed. The lines become more rigid and disciplined and new materials are used for dresses. Like the ivory dress and the black dress that follow one another at the start of the show, which still have tulle and transparent organza, but are rather dominated by the rigorous lines of the taffeta (respectively ivory and black). A small update of the stylistic codes we don’t mind at all.
We also like the work done on blazers and coats, which are made precious by bands of coloured silk cleverly posed in cuts under the lapels. The result is very chic. After all, knots and interlacements seem to be the common thread that binds the entire collection together. The sweaters and thick white wool cardigans are beautiful as well. Finally, it is good to return once again to shoes and accessories, which are real gems.
