Max Mara Resort 2022: a desire to escape
Held in Ischia, the Max Mara Resort 2022 parade is the expression of the desire for adventure. The theme of travel, in fact, dominates the moodboard of the collection, starting with the color palette, exotic and vibrant.
Local Color is the title of the collection and clearly refers to the summer vibe, to sunny atmospheres on landscapes of boundless beauty. Inspired by Truman Capote’s homonymous collection of stories, Local Color becomes a symbol of adventure and independence.
The new Max Mara woman is someone open to the world, a swan, like those in Capote’s tales, ready to take flight. The style of the swans recalls a practical and functional fashion, always with a solid and distinct touch of glamour.
Elements of the Maison’s past come back in a modern way; 1950s silhouettes are reinterpreted here with leggings under minidresses – a trend in vogue at the moment. These are accompanied by softer and more fluid shapes in beige and in brown.
The most sporty features are evident from the tight shirts, tank tops and trousers with high waist flounces. A more sprint and jaunty character is instead given by the flounces on the sleeves of the pink shocking mini dress, which are accompanied by thick socks equally pink or red leather mini shorts.
The red and pink combination is back on the Resort catwalk again, although it is not a completely surprising proposal this summer.
White instead, dilutes the most joyful colors for a more elegant atmosphere; the tulip dress, stitched with flounces on a low waist is the perfect combination of functionality, modernity and sophistication.
