“MFW Fall 2020: Cividini”

Cividini’s Autumn is an exciting alternation of serious shapes and fabrics with cool and funky pieces. There are indeed tailored suits, checked skirts and pinstriped or herringbone culottes. Then irreverent colourful prints come in the scene, looking like contemporary paintings, together with slightly fluffy fisherman’s hats in warm colours and extra thick wool sweaters. Not to mention the boots, which recall the 80s for the accentuated platform and strong patent leather colours. The final mix is surprising and particular. In some sense, the show is the mirror of current times, in which everything mixes without too much rigor.

In the collection there are some big trends we have already spotted, going to be even bigger with the cold season. These include long, narrow scarves, to be worn around the neck in a very casual manner. And then woven suede, which makes us come to the highlight of the collection. The midi slip dresses and tops in camel suede that are a gem, with some pastel-coloured squares. Bags and a beautiful sleeveless sweater are also woven in the same way, both in thick wool and more winter tones, such as dark green and burgundy. If you want to focus on a single piece to have a striking outfit, these are the right choice.
