“MFW Fall 2020: Versace”

Versace puts together women and men for Autumn 2020 and brings an explosive collection on the stage. Sensual as only this Italian brand can be, it is enigmatic and decisive as well. Its strong point is the self confidence, which emerges in the cuts and shapes of dresses and jackets and which is not only physical, but first of all psychological. Donatella Versace herself, speaking of the collection, explains that sensuality and self-confidence comes first of all from within. What we see outside is nothing but a reflection. So did Versace’s clothes.
Street style dominates the men’s line: square jackets in black leather or red checkered fabric, tailored but oversized trousers and half-open, protruding shirts. The women’s line seems to be more elegant, with the black shaped dresses from the beginning up to the striped cardigans, the plaid miniskirts and the coats. Here too, however, sporty details infiltrate, such as bomber jackets and rain boots in optical white. With 91 looks, Versace Fall Winter 2020 is an extremely prolific and layered collection that truly offers clothes for all occasions. However, some pieces are far more desirable than others. Among these are the shaped-waist blazers, the leather jacket worn by Maria Carla Boscono and the whole Kaia Gerber’s outfit, consisting of a mini dress and fur with matching print.
