MFW FW21/22: Alberta Ferretti’s realism

For autumn/winter 2021, Alberta Ferretti proposes a collection strongly rooted in everyday life, with a color palette that goes from black to brown and green and new silhouettes for the coming winter.

“Being realistic does not mean being banal,” Ferretti said when speaking about the collection. The primary engine that moves this experimentation are women; Alberta Ferretti is a woman who creates for other women, so she always manages to combine any need for practicality and everyday life without sacrificing style.

The silhouettes become more tight and stretched, the garments are tight, even when it comes to leather jackets or bigger ones. The show proposes a chromatic journey that starts from black, passes through coal, anthracite, and then land in green, mustard yellow and classic brown.

Ferretti puts a particular focus on the techniques of textile processing; we find the lacquered, leather, sequins, tulle, especially in the evening clothes that close the parade leaving traces of black and gold.
