Michael Kors Ready-to-Wear SS22: the optimism we need

We continue to like Michael Kors very much just like for spring summer 2021. And if for this season he thought of a large amount of daytime looks (as well as a small number of unforgettable long final dresses), for next year the hope is that things will be completely changed.

So, a great optimism, in which the reference to the 1950s rightly peeps out, the era of rebirth par excellence that could not fit better than this.

We therefore have a strong sensuality and femininity, which shines through both the clothes and the accessories. Very elegant sandals and mules with low-cut toe (some squared toes also remain this season), bucket bags in rattan and leather filled with flowers. Lots of lace and checks that immediately make us think of joyful picnics in a chic version.

There is a great deal of two pieces, skirts or pants with mini tops and exposed bras. A feature that we are already seeing elsewhere in the shows and that we are sure will be a main trend of the next season. The cuts of the perfect coats and suits, absolutely Michael Kors.

There is also a large presence of belts, thin and bustiers both with leather, perfect for marking 1950s-style dresses and full skirts. Another strong presence is sequins, an indispensable sparkle in a post-pandemic world (hoping it really is) in which you want to return to shine on the scene, whatever it is.

As he rightly said in a previous statement, the designer said he was delighted to return to the face-to-face events. Because we know, the magic of a live show cannot be replicated by any digital event, even calling the best director in the world to create the perfect video for you. And what about the exclusivity of the show, something important and necessary for luxury, needless to deny it.
