Milan Fashion Week: Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini SS21

Gardening and painting were two of the leisure Lorenzo Serafini indulged to during the lockdown, alternated to long hours of smart-working. It is just natural then that the Spring 2021 collection, born in that period, has been strongly influenced by these two activities. It is clear since the beginning, thank to the green plastic boots and the stains of painting on the denim bermuda worn by the very first model.

Add to them straw loose bucket hats, sets in red Vichy fabric for your picnic on the grass, and huge rubber gloves to protect yourself while picking flowers. Our favourite pieces are the gingham dresses that, from the middle of the show on, followed each other on the runway, colourful and joyful, always worn with the high “dirty” boots and more chic accessories, such as small purse in leather or straw.

Generally speaking, the collection is happy, light and wearable. Serafini wishes next summer will look like this: baby blue sky and rendez-vous in the garden with friends and neighbors. But a new relationship with nature as well, with its fruits and needs. We all, after all, came from Nature and go back to her every time we need some comfort and peace.
