Milan Fashion Week: Salvatore Ferragamo SS21

The Spring collection by Salvatore Ferragamo has been presented with an unexpected fashion show at Rotonda della Besana. Unexpected because Paul Andrew, while designing the collection during the lockdown, was not sure about how and when he would have been able to present it. For this reason he decided to create a short movie, in order to show it to the public despite the situation. To do so he called Luca Guadagnino, the Italian director who does not need to be introduced.
The collaboration is a brilliant one: it tells the story of an impactful collection which is sophisticated and pure. To inspire Andrew was also Hitchcock’s filmography, which kept him company in the last few months. The result is evident: feminine and sensual shapes, that are not in any case cheeky. Pastel tone suits, midi skirts and dresses that embrace the body gently, decisively bon ton, as it is for some incredible costumes in The Birds. Menswear is as much sophisticated and put together total look in peach pink and militar green with baby blue.
According to Andrew, essentiality is important. It is the result of a so traction which become virtuosity, and add to the charme of the whole instead of compromising it. If you are looking for garments to renovate your wardrobe and you want something unique, qualitative valid and destine to last forever, then Ferragamo is the brand for you.
