Scheduled for 13 September, Laura Biagiotti’s fashion show will be back live in the location where the brand was born. Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome will be the frame of the event on the occasion of the new spring-summer 2021 collection.
The brand then returns to the scene after the hard months of lockdown, and it definitely does it in style.
Biagiotti Group has restored the Scala Cordonata of the Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo and the two Dioscuri. The choice of Rome as a location is obviously not left to chance. In fact, the statement released by the group reads: “Going live in Piazza del Campidoglio, with an innovative format, based on the admirable design of Michelangelo, shows that fashion, like Rome, revolves around something that goes beyond generations and centuries, shapes them and recreates them, in an endless Renaissance. “
As Lavinia Biagiotti, president and CEO of the Group said: “The history of our company and that of our family are intrinsically linked to Rome in a game of cross-references between ethics and aesthetics, reminiscent of that of the great Renaissance families”.
The brand was among the first to show its collection behind closed doors in February. This time, all the insiders are preparing for the event to take place safely and in full compliance with anti-covid regulations.
The format conceived is a hybrid, consisting of both digital elements and supported by a live performance. The goal, concludes Biagiotti, is to present “a narrative in the making, from Rome, to Milan Fashion Week”.
