PFW: Elie Saab SS20

Once again, Elie Saab has managed to put together an elegant and polished collection. This Spring Summer 2020 is inspired by the African continent and its colors. On the catwalk, we find reworked versions of safari outfits, which under the eye of Elie Saab become dresses with wide skirts or minidresses with an asymmetrical cut and voluminous sleeves.The collection includes solid-color jumpsuits with light cloaks, which accompany the models producing an amazing effect. Also, it’s interesting to see the use of a fabric composed of embroidered daisies, with which a long dress and two suits tight at the waist are made, one long and the other one short.

Of course, there is no shortage of evening dresses, for which Elie Saab is best known and which make up the majority of the collection. The inspiration from the African continent is noticeable not only for the bright colors but also for the use of afro hair on some of the models and the use of accessories such as gold collars, long necklaces or turbans. Overall, therefore, this collection can be defined as a compromise between adventure and luxury.
