“PFW Fall 2020: Givenchy”

Givenchy gave us an autumn winter 2020 collection dedicated to the good tailoring. The cuts are indeed impeccable, just look at the coats whose broad shoulders drop into curled sleeves. Our favorite is the shorter coat with two buttons at the height of the collarbones, so chic. Dresses and suits are generally simple and have an old Hollywood aftertaste, where the salient features of the dresses were the impeccable workmanship, elegance and the addition of unexpected details, somehow fun but sumptuous.

There are wide-brimmed hats, gloves above the elbow and, in the evening dresses, fringes and feathers (a true must this season!). In Givenchy the feathers are especially amazing, thick and airy, just as we would expect them in the dressing room of a great movie star. The jewels are not very intrusive, but they are a detail worth paying attention to, including rigid hoop necklaces and designer earrings.
