“PFW Fall 2020: Saint Laurent”

With Saint Laurent we want to start right from the beginning, that is, from the first look of the Fall collection, which summarizes the rest to come – even if, as in any story, there are important evolutions. Red tartan on jacket, vest and shirt, an important collar and gold jewelry, all definitely bon ton, combined with very tight black latex trousers. Club culture or dominatrix style is up to you. However we approve the contrast and we want to try it ASAP. Anthony Vaccarello hits the point, indeed, that it is not dress like a man to feel powerful, but rather feel empowered whatever you decide to wear, even if it is a pair of super tight latex pants, or a pink delicate, truly feminine blouse.
In addition to this, there are also some pieces in transparent fabric, delicate and sensual as well, a lace top and a leather corset. Yves Saint Laurent has always been able to enhance women in their femininity, not at all fragile. Perhaps, the strength comes from the femininity itself. In addition to the profuse use of latex, Vaccarello has also used an incredible colours’ palette. For a brand that has always made black its must, this has been an unexpected but decidedly appreciated change. Some colour combos are precious, juicy and decidedly sophisticated.
