“PFW Fall 2020: Thom Browne”

I don’t know about you, but for us Thom Browne’s is always a show we look forward to. If the climate out there is uncertain and rather scary, from a climatic, economic and many other points of view, Browne always offers a good reason to escape. Even if it’s only for a few minutes. And we need some escapism, that’s for sure. His Fall 2020 is staged in a snowy winter landscape. The models are two-legged animals: initially singles, then in couples. Inspiration comes from Noah’s Ark and its unlikely crew.

We love the matching looks and the very thin line that separates male and female here from Browne. Which becomes practically nonexistent in couples who, with veils on their eyes, are very difficult to define. Thom Browne is fun, humorous and downright flawless. Each look is perfect, in colours, shapes and prints that are always so playful and serious at the same time. This time even richer, between stripes, check and stylized small animals. Suits and outerwear are the focal point of the production, but, please, look also at the animal-shaped bags!
