For the spring-summer 2022 collection, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi conceives clothes with a bursting energy and colorful. Some nostalgic vibes of the 80s are also included.
The creative duo managed to perfectly recreate the atmosphere of the ’80s, but enriched them with new nuances and details ideal for the new generations of luxury consumers.
The models present the garments as if they were on the other side of a screen, on a background seemingly out of the ordinary scenario usually conceived for the presentation of a collection.
The clothes are the result of exciting combinations, where different fabrics are brought together and so, proposing new possible combinations.
The 80s details are recognizable in the wide straps, in black and white striped patterns, in voluminous frills and structured silhouettes on different length levels.
It seems that the intent of the collection is to offer several vintage alternatives, but the clothes are actually brand new.
Moreover, there are oversized suits, polka dot patterns, and checks, up to the more abstract ones on jackets and sweaters. The colors are very vivid and the color palette rather varied and playful.
There is also the element of circular fashion, represented by reversible bags created with waste materials. These, and the ski-fi style protective visors are a perfect declination of the world today.
