For the spring/summer 2022 collection, designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough propose the escapism, the idea of traveling. The inspiration comes in part from their own retreat on the island of Kauai.
Although the creative duo claimed that the Hawaiian theme was not the cornerstone of the collection, they nevertheless made clear the symbolic value of the journey after a global pandemic.
Therefore, the collection is rich in exotic ideas, vibrant colors such as yellow and purple, and other brighter and warmer ones, orange and red standing out on jacquard cotton.
The silhouettes are not constrictive, they descend soft and wide along the body, giving just the idea of movement and freedom accompanying the first sounds and colors of summer.
The designers manage to dilute even the most sober ideas of black, thanks to the insertion of some loose fringes on the end.
These, interrupt the most severe silhouettes with a bit of vivacity. The evasive and disturbing element of fringes also recurs on maxi yellow and red coral dresses.
There is also no shortage of abstract prints. These are pure explosions of colors on floral scenarios. The intention of the creative duo is clear: to propose a comfortable fashion, in which you can move without constraints. A fashion that fully reflects the desire of the body to return free.
