Resort 2021: N°21

The Resort 2021 collection by Alessandro Dell’Acqua for N°21 focuses on femininity, stripped of unnecessary frills and structures. N°21 returns to simplicity.

“It is a collection that stems from a re-appropriation of a very personal work method: going to the origins of femininity using the feeling of spontaneity, without constructions and superstructures that take the attention away from the essence of the story.” comments Dell’Acqua. “I was interested in returning to clean, precise images, clear in their definition using all the means of the story of women’s fashion to obtain new effects.”

The clothes are delicate, with sweet and sinuous cuts. There are many dresses, whose color palette extends from white to black, passing through yellow and a red checked pattern. The sequins, the white lace, and the floral prints embellish the collection and create the right tension on the garments, the black dress with the white shoulder strap of feathers is exemplary, or the sequined midi skirt combined with a simple black top that opens on the back with an asymmetrical zip, or the polo shirt – an eternal symbol of sportswear- here decorated with sequins.

The collection also features shoes, the iconic mules revisited here with chains that wrap around the ankle and stones on the buckles. Even the sandals recall the motif of the dresses, with satin ribbons that wrap around the foot, recalling the simple and sinuous lines that decorate the body.
