“What we are seeing in the world, regarding the demonstrations against racism, is a global, wonderful desperate and furious cry. A cry for humanitarian aid that can no longer be ignored, enough is enough. I’d not even know how to well define the fact that a request for equality and respect, as for all other human beings, is completely absurd that it exists. The problem should never have simply existed. As for me, since I was born I have always loved all ethnic groups and discovering different cultures. The truth is that contexts of the highest cultural and artistic level are as mixed as possible, in which everyone can give a contribution in creating something new and never seen which, as we well know, is now almost impossible to find. So why people want to create “social boundaries”? Never understood. Obviously those who don’t have a very high culture, or are not interested in having one, or prefer that everything remains exactly as it is.
However, this situation is no longer acceptable, also considering fact that people, stressed due to pandemic, loss of work and stability made many of them even more inclined to think that they have no longer something to lose. In short, we had to get to the limit of endurance because half the world, even the “luckiest” one, cries for change. And now it’s no longer just a problem of Black Lives Matter, it has become a general problem of saying enough to oppression and inequality, to world systems that allow millions of people to die in favor of a few, to those who take advantage of a uniform or a social status to impose themselves on others in an unfair and sometimes horrible way.
Who knows, maybe this virus has “really woken us” (expression often bad used in this period by those who spread conspiracies’ fake news) and will allow us to create a new world made of respect, justice and in which there is only one race, the human race. “
