Vespa 946 Christian Dior is coming

Starting from spring 2021, the new Vespa 946 Christian Dior will arrive in Dior boutiques all over the world. Then it will be found in selected Motoplex flagships of the Piaggio Group.
The idea was to celebrate the heritage of the two houses, founded in 1946 and both linked to imaginaries that have marked the history of fashion and cinema. Just remember the famous scene in “Roman Holiday”, in which Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn take a tour of the Eternal City riding the scooter. From that point on the iconic Vespa became a symbol of Italy.

“In a difficult moment like the this one, it’s nice to be able to dream of a better future.” CEO Immsi and Piaggio Marketing manager Michele Colaninno commented. “Today, as then, we have undergone a dark period and now we are joining forces to share the joie de vivre through a combination of style and craftsmanship. This partnership represents a celebration of beauty. “
In the design of the Vespa 946 Christian Dior we can recognize the heritage and savoir-faire of the two houses. Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of the Parisian Maison, followed the development of the project. The basic model is the scooter released in 2012 in a monocoque frame. To this, the distinctive details of the French Maison are added. The top case is indeed decorated with the Dior Oblique motif designed by Marc Bohan in 1967. The helmet is decorated with the same motif and is also combined with a series of limited-edition accessories.
