“We Are One: A Global Film Festival” is coming to YouTube
The most famous film festivals in the world are coming together under a single festival called “We Are One: A Global Film Festival”, available on Youtube from the 29th of May until the 7th of June 2020.
The initiative was promoted by New York’s Tribeca Enterprises and will start a fundraising for the World Health Organization to support the fight against Covid-19.
Producer Jane Rosenthal and actor Robert De Niro made their voices heard, encouraging the creation of this initiative. Indeed, Rosenthal commented:
“We always talk about the unique and very powerful role of Festivals to gather people from all over the world and inspiring a change. And the whole world needs to be cured now. We Are One: A Global Film Festival will bring together curators, artists and storytellers to entertain and give relief to audiences around the world. By working with our extraordinary partners around the world and with YouTube, we hope to be able to give everyone a taste of what makes each festival so unique, making the art and power of cinema appreciated. “
The program will include around 20 film festivals around the world, including Cannes, Venice and Berlin, and will feature films, documentaries, meeting panels and round tables.
