Pressley is the new web cover of the month

When music has accompanied you through life since childhood, your whole world revolves around it. This is how Pressley went from being a great and accomplished dancer, to wanting to embark on her path as a singer. We talked to her about her beginnings, about her future album coming out but not only! In fact, this young woman is already famous in acting too, not to mention her incredible fan base on social media of millions of followers. Let’s find out more about her together!

Your dancing skills are amazing. When did you start dancing? And what kind of school did you go to?
Thank you so much!! I started dance classes when I was only 2 years old and am still dancing to this day! I started my training at my mom’s dance studio and continued to train there until I was 12 and moved to LA. Now I train at all different studios in California.
We know you are also about to launch your own solo music project. This is really a big leap!
Yes, it definitely is but I am so excited! Music has always been such a big part of my life so I can’t wait for this new chapter and to share it with everyone!
When did you realize you wanted to take this path? And what about the production of your album in advance?
Well, my whole life I have always been surrounded by music. Between dance and my family music was a huge part of my life. So, when I was given the opportunity to create music of my own it was a dream come true! I love exploring and trying new things especially when it comes to anything creative so getting to work on my music project has been so amazing!
As for your work with fashion brands, how did your journey start and what do you appreciate most about this environment?
I have always had a love for fashion so when I started creating content, I created fashion and lifestyle videos because that’s what came naturally to me and what I genuinely enjoyed making. With that came amazing opportunities to work with some of my all-time favorite brands and also introduced me to new ones! What I appreciate most about this environment is the community of people and how much everyone genuinely loves it. I also love how fashion is a way to express yourself and there is no judgement within the community!
Your social media fan base is huge. How do you feel about “influencing” the new generations? It’s a big responsibility, isn’t it?
Having a platform and using it for good is definitely a big responsibility but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being able to be a role model for a new generation is such an honor and I definitely don’t take it for granted. I try my best to be a positive influence and inspire people to follow their dreams no matter what! My biggest goal in life is to make the world a better place, even if it’s just putting a smile on someone’s face when they come across my videos. It’s still a step in the right direction!
What relationship do you have with this internet world? How do you manage to separate your private life?
Over the years I have become so comfortable with sharing my life with my audience. I think that’s what people are drawn to, the realness of my content. So, I try my best to share almost everything with them. The good and the bad. I think it helps people realize they aren’t alone. Of course, just like everyone there are certain things you keep private but for the most part I share my whole life with my followers because that’s what I enjoy!
You are now clamoring into the world of acting. Your role as Roxy in The Brat TV original drama, ‘Stage Fright’ is now famous and so is your participation in Season 8 of Dance Moms. What is your favorite thing about the creative process during filming?
I think my favorite part has to be meeting new people and learning from them. On pretty much every set I have been on, I have met a new cast and crew and they have all taught me so many things. Each experience has shaped me into the person I am today and will continue doing that throughout my whole life.
Speaking of personal care: we want to know everything from your beauty routine to how often you hit the gym! To be a dancer of that level you definitely have to train a lot!
Personal care is definitely something I take very seriously. I think that finding time to take care of yourself, mentally and physically, is so important. For me my beauty routine is pretty simple. I have a morning and night skin routine curated to what fits my skin needs best. I wash and blow out my hair once or twice a week, I found that doing it too often doesn’t work for my hair. And when it comes to physical activity, I try to go to a pilates class every morning. Pilates has recently become my favorite type of workout. I think it works best for me and my body. Of course, on top of all of that I try and fit in multiple dance classes a week, it really just depends on my schedule.
What about your passions in your free time?
In my free time I love to hang out with family and friends. I also love to read and journal. But a recent passion project has been my scrapbook! I am obsessed with taking photos, especially film photos, so creating a scrapbook has been such a fun way to store them and their memories. It is something I am so excited to look back on in the future.
