Dolce & Gabbana Menswear SS ’22

After the digital fashion shows, Dolce & Gabbana finally returns to present the collections in a live format, and does so with the show dedicated to menswear, a dynamic and vibrant performance.

The two designers called it Light Therapy, a collection that oozes light from every spangle and detail. “Light is a tribute to life, the illuminations characteristic of the festivities of Southern Italy represent a moment of aggregation with the family and the whole community”, they commented.

The theme of the party, the illuminations that accompany it are evident in every garment. From them, emerges the desire to return to celebrate again.

The multicolor effect is given by hand-made embroidery, made with colored stones; unmissable photographic prints combined with silk, which enhance the care for details and the sartorial soul of the brand.

The return to maximalism, could only be more evident on a t-shirt with the slogan 2000 Fashion Moment; the feeling of rebirth is accompanied by the classic fabrics and techniques used by the Maison, such as shirts and crochet tops.

The brocades, pinstriped dresses and lace return, combined with more modern details, such as plating, colored taping and patchwork. According to Dolce & Gabbana, the future is also an opening act towards the outside. That’s why more traditional styles are combined with kimono and blouses.

With 95 looks, the spring-summer 2022 collection is a real spark, which feeds a clear detachment from the past and only good expectations for the future.
