“NYFW Fall 2020: Longchamp”

In the last period we saw many designers moving between the 70s and 80s of the last century. It is however difficult to think of this return as nostalgic. Rather, it seems that the fashion system is trying to find energy and excitement, the same of those years, to enter a new era of change.
And it is precisely this spirit that we find in Longchamp’s autumn winter collection. It is also significant to think that the designer, Sophie Delafontaine, built this new force in New York, after leaving its roots in Paris, in the old continent.
Each look fits perfectly, in shapes and colors. But, as often happens, the details revolutionize the whole. Longchamp – and Delafontaine herself- is first and foremost an accessory brand. Among these, boots are beautiful, bags change their size, from very small to exaggerated, scarves make the whole elegant. Belts are also very interesting, showing in basically every outfit. We particularly like it when it tighten sweaters at the waist, paired with floating midi skirts.
