Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini Ready-to-Wear SS22

Also for Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, spring-summer 2022 will be a season of sensuality and freedom.
The designer wanted to celebrate the feeling of rebirth that you breathe in the air, a return to life. This rebirth is combined through provocative silhouettes and skin discovery, a trend that, as we have seen, unites many brands on the calendar in Milan. Serafini in this case is not an exception.

Speaking of the collection, Serafini claimed to have gone back to his early years in the fashion world; not surprisingly, on his moodboard appeared articles by Vogue with Sofia Coppola on the cover, along with mid-90s advertising campaigns directed by Steven Meisel and Mark Borthwick.

Indeed, the clothes on the catwalk enclose all the eclectic and lively spirit of the 90s, starting with the tight and elongated silhouettes, passing through wide and provocative necklines, and ending with a mixture of floral prints, alternating with more aggressive garments. The color palette more attractive and provocative.
The collection was full of lycra suits, floral prints and knit intarsia. These were also accompanied by suits and dresses with fringes and frills, abstract prints with bright colors such as electric blue and yellow, and suits and long skirts of liquid sequins.

At the end, the white ruffled lace evening dress evoked the unmistakable signature of Serafini, whose delicacy was partially dampened by the sensuality of maxi leather boots with fringes. Absolutely worthy of note is the long red lacquered evening slip dress, reminiscent of the 90s wildest nights.
