Sébastian Meunier leaves Ann Demeulemeester

Sébastian Meunier leaves Ann Demeulemeester after ten years to the creative direction. The designer stated this intention through the Belgian brand’s social channel and his personal Instagram account. Meunier was proud to have followed the brand’s footsteps for ten years, also stressing the importance of its positions on diversity and gender issues.

Sébastian Meunier was born in Versailles in 1974 and graduated in fashion design at the Esmond college in France in 1997. After just one year from graduation, he won the prize for fashion design at the Festival d’Hyères. In 2000 he founded his brand and also joined Maison Margiela to follow the women’s knitwear collections.
In 2010 he started the exciting journey by Ann Demeulemeester and was chosen as creative director after the designer retired in 2013.
