Valentino Insights: the digital experience by Pier Paolo Piccioli

After the digital success “Chez Maison Valentino” and the project “Valentino: Re-signifiy part one Shangai” launched on December 19, the Roman fashion house proposes Valentino Insights, a digital initiative realized by creative director Pier Paolo Piccioli to promote the release of the new 2021 collection called “Diary”.

The viewer enters virtually in a dreamy villa, characterized by modernist design in symbiosis with wonderful vegetation. Through the signs that appear once entered, the path unfolds inside the rooms of the villa, where you can see in addition to the precious and luxurious furniture, even the last pieces of the collection, bags, jewellery, perfumes, all crowned by the warm atmosphere inspiring relax and serenity thanks to the background music coming from the vintage turntable. 

On a computer screen, the video of the campaign for the new “Roman Stud” bag presented by Zendaya slides. Finally, we arrive at the new collection, presented through post-its attached to a catalogue or through a magazine softly abandoned on the sofa.

The path is then interrupted right near the stairs that lead to a closed room, which would be accessible only if you insert your email address in the default format. The other option -leaving the villa- appears impossible, because suddenly a wall of hedges emerges, obstructing the virtual passage. 

The only solution would be to close the window completely, but why not linger a bit more by the pool?
