Valentino to launch an inclusive make-up line

Valentino broadens its horizons, and does so with a clear goal in mind. The Roman maison, indeed, will launch its first make-up collection in the name of inclusivity.
However, to see Valentino Beauty on the shelves we have to wait a little longer. The products will be unveiled for the first time at Selfridges in London, on 31 May 2021.
In the wake of the values expressed several times through his collections, Pierpaolo Piccioli has thought of a beauty line that continues to spread the message of inclusivity, poetry and humanity that shines through his high fashion creations.
The very first line of the maison already includes 40 shades of foundation and 50 shades of lipstick, all designed to be recharged, significantly reducing waste. Eye products are also added to these ones.
In the press release, dedicated to the launch of Valentino Beauty, we read: “Valentino Beauty is part of a path of ‘Human Beauty’ that puts the human being at the center of the creative process. A high quality make up dedicated to all genres, ages and cultures”.
An idea that the creative director himself actively professes. Indeed, in his own words: “Complex, beauty is resolved by love. Beauty is democratic. I am inspired by the identity of each individual, by that uniqueness that encompasses diversity and inclusion. Beauty is a matter of grace. Grace cannot be defined, it is perceived”.
