Burberry launches new TB Summer Monogram collection

Burberry unveiled the shots of the new TB Summer Monogram collection, an ode to the founder of the British giant, Thomas Burberry, in a play of colors and sinuous weaves. The star of the campaign is none other than Kendall Jenner, who posed for Nick Knight’s lenses in a campaign directed by Peter Saville with stylist Katy England.

The collection is the second edition of the “Monogram” capsule, this time with an enriched palette of colors, which extends to anthracite gray, cobalt blue, light blue, and some hints of orange.

The campaign never fails to refer to reality as much as ever, given the COVID-19 situation; indeed, Kendall poses in some shots directly from home.

Even the video is all created with computer graphics. The viewer immerses in a dreamlike set very similar to a video game one. Here, the model poses near the pool and on a skate track. The campaign highlights more than ever a new phase for fashion at large, day by day even more immersed in the digital universe.

To enrich the atmosphere, one can download a playlist on Spotify to get even better into the spirit of the capsule.

The style of the campaign heralds a further expansion of the brand in the field of video games. Burberry will indeed launch “B Surf”, a multiplayer video game. Here, too, fashion is obviously not lacking; players will compete on a surfboard while wearing the new Monogram collection and then compete on a TB-shaped track, the logo of the collection.

Actually, “B Surf” is the third game launched by the brand. “B Bounce” was launched last October and “Ratberry” on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. TB Monogram is available from July 1st on the official website and on Farfetch starting from July 8th.
