Burberry closed London Fashion Week with a 108-look show, demonstrating once again the prolificacy of the (new) creative director Riccardo Tisci. Not only that, Tisci seems willing to push the boundaries more and more with each new collection, taking Burberry away from the sedimented image it was associated with. New life, definitely necessary. Maybe there were few skeptics at the beginning, now the brand’s potential is clear to everyone.

Coats and suit are the key to the whole collection. After all, few brands know the importance of a good coat as much as Burberry does. Dresses and accessories, on the other hand, are quite simple. Tisci indulged in one (pretty impressive) dress, the one at the end of the show, made entirely with reflective sequins. But jackets, trench and coats dialogue with each other in a very interesting way and are the living symbol of an exchange between future and tradition.

Tisci started from the well known plaid pattern and reinvented it in a thousand different ways. The prints mix, implement, screech each others and, at the end of the battle, they create a perfect and coherent whole. A thousand faces of the same coin, a thousand different personalities but equal in essence – we dare to say. In the last part of the show, stripes take over, sporty and chic at the same time.
